After a lot of waffling, my girlfriend recently got a late abortion. Our circumstances were difficult. We live four hours apart and she has a teenage daughter. She lives in a city, and I live rurally with limited amenities in the nearby towns. Most of our discussions were about where to live and how to get by, and how to move her daughter. I was TOTALLY WILLING to support everyone (she gets almost NO child support) and to sell some of my land to give us a head start.

We negotiated for weeks over where to move, etc., and we struggled to find compromises. Initially abortion was NOT AN OPTION. But over time, it became one. A total of three appointments were cancelled. I tried hard to offer the best financial and domestic arrangement I could, but I never (for reasons unknown to me) could come out and say, "I want you to have this baby."

Without going into details, we were both going to have to move, and we were very upset about this. Over time, we became desensitized to the LIFE inside her. What was unthinkable in the beginning became a topic of debate, and at times we were BOTH in favor of abortion, but we always backed out.

She became rather desperate over changes facing her daughter and I was distressed over selling part of my dream (land). Again, the budding child got lost in the FEAR AND EGO attachments, and in some kind of dream-state we went for the fourth appointment. I took NO POSITION this last time, telling her to choose for her and her daughter. I know on some level, I wanted her to have an abortion to put my life somewhere back to normal, while at the same time I was terrified of abortion.

She went through with it, and I swear the hurt in her face after was the saddest thing I have ever seen. As soon as she was gone behind the doors, I knew I had made a terrible mistake.

One month later, and she is holding up fairly well, but I am a wreck of guilt and regret. THAT WAS MY SON OR DAUGHTER, and I took him or her to a place where they killed her or him, extracted an "inconvenience."

I have cried, screamed, sunk to the floor, and wanted to die with the pain in my heart. I can barely work. Life is empty. I am a shell. My woman and I remain close and there is no blame. But I can only say to a man considering being part of an abortion. BE VERY CAREFUL. I had NO IDEA how awful this would feel. And all I was clinging to seems further away from me than ever.

My advice is to MAN UP. Find the love in your heart for that baby and TRY to protect your woman and your child. If she truly decides an abortion is in her best interest, at least you will have DONE YOUR BEST. Offer all you can and tell her you want that child!

I am not a religious guy, but common sense tells me that is LIFE in there, and one it is YOUR JOB to protect. Tell her that. Any parent will tell you they do not regret having kids, even if they are divorced.

In some places, the abortion limit is 24 weeks. Sometimes abortionists make the argument that the baby can't feel pain at that time anyway. However, this is not true!! This is outdated science. I'm taking a course about developmental psychology, and studies have shown that:

"It is fascinating that the sensory systems function even before they are anatomically complete. The first system to develop is touch. By about 8 weeks, if the area around the lips is touched the fetus will respond by moving.."
(Slater & Bremner, 2003)

If the sensory system functions, then logically they can also feel pain.

Abortion is basically tearing the baby apart. Before you think of supporting abortion or having an abortion yourself, please consider how much pain that would be for the baby.

dear Anna, I'm so sorry you are going through this. It must be such a difficult situation for you.. Please, try to not get an abortion, I know someone who got one and she's now regretting it for the rest of her life. She really suffers from guilt over it. Have you considered giving your baby up for adoption? I know it is hard parting with your child but they can be given a good life with another family and be provided for. What do you think about this? Please don't give up!! God bless you

This ruling was arrived at on the premise that the 9th and 14th Amendments, according to legal precedent established during the 1960's, guarantees a woman's "right to privacy", a right that extends even to abortion.

Terminating a pregnancy is a major decision and an extremely difficult one to make. It is advisable that the woman discusses her concerns with someone close who she can trust. The law states that two doctors need to agree that the abortion can be carried out. They will reach this decision if they believe there is a greater risk to the woman's mental or physical health if she continues with the pregnancy than if she has an abortion. The doctor can also take social circumstances into account when making this decision.

She was in prison. The inmates for a pardon along with several key political figures such as George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and John Mccain decided since I have the Jewish birthright and am an uncrowned King of the Jews they have the right to abort my child to cut my line off. They decided for the woman let the other women kill the baby.

Then raped tortured, and mutilated my child in prison.

Didn't even give her a proper burial.

Furthermore they use this baby to cast spells of necromancy which I will not detail.

Yet they claim they are for a woman's choice.

I'm pro-life/pro-choice. I'm all for life, adoptions, and taking care of a child. Yet it is always a woman's body and therefore her choice. Still society should learn from Africa's not-so-primitive society. Every child is a blessing, and the whole community should care and strive to take care of the child. I do understand if the woman's life was in danger HOWEVER NOT ONLY WAS MY WIFE'S LIFE NOT IN DANGER. She was never even consulted about the decision.

This is plain out murder and abuse of the abortion issue.

I had an abortion 18 yrs ago. I think about it everyday. I have suffered from depression, post tramatic stress, anxiety, drinking and drugs. The post describes a baby's developement in the first trimester. (note Foetus is latin for Baby. I prefer the English) I guess we really do not know if a baby feels this way. But one thing I can prove a baby is a person at conception. DNA evidence proves this. DNA has allot of our "personality traits" So I can prove to you beyond a reasonable doubt, It was you in your Mother's womb at conception. If I am wrong I guess I am talking to the wrong person.

I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who has had an abortion or who has considered one and why you did/did not go through with it.
